Our story

Hey, I’m Kevin.

Jupyterrific was created when a CEO friend asked me to create a technical interview for their first Data Scientist hire at their company. They had a CTO who were technical, but the CTO didn’t have Data Science skills.

After talking with other CTOs, we found out that most companies create technical interviews based on a motley line up of questions found across the internet, that aren’t curated with respect to the skills that data scientists need. So along with friends in technical recruiting as well as friends in instructional design we formed Jupyterrific, the best place for all things hiring people in the data field. We created our flagship product, the technical interview kit for companies like yours because we want you to find the best candidates.

Who are we though and who are we to create these tests?

We’ve built data teams from scratch, and we’ve worked in data departments in Fortune 100 companies.

We’ve interviewed 1000s of candidates and designed technical interviews and we’ve seen what works and what doesn’t.

We have been in terrible interview processes that made us lose faith in the company and quit the whole process right in the middle. It wasn’t the non-technical recruiter who is at fault, it was the “technical test” that subtly told us that no one understood what kind of work we were being hired for.
